Terms of Service

Last updated: July 15, 2026

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of Race Together at racetogether.co.uk ("the service"). By creating an account, joining a game, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

Race Together lets organizers create live fitness games in which participants connect exercise equipment (such as bikes, rowers, and treadmills) through their browser and compete on a shared realtime leaderboard that anyone with the game link can watch.

3. Accounts and organizations

  • You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
  • Games belong to organizations. Organization members can manage that organization's games, so only invite people you trust to administer your events.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms;
  • interfere with or disrupt the service, including sending falsified telemetry, probing or circumventing access controls, or placing unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone;
  • upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or offensive.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of content you submit to the service, such as game names, display names, and uploaded logos. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, and display that content as needed to operate the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to anything you upload.

6. Health and safety

Physical exercise carries inherent risk. The service provides entertainment and performance information only — it is not medical advice. You (and any participants in games you organize) are responsible for exercising within your own limits, using equipment safely and as instructed by its manufacturer, and consulting a doctor before strenuous activity where appropriate. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for injury arising from physical activity undertaken while using the service.

7. Availability and changes

We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend or discontinue the service (in whole or in part) at any time. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free — live telemetry in particular depends on your devices, browser, and network.

8. Intellectual property

The service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. These terms do not grant you any rights to it beyond the right to use the service as intended.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or if we reasonably believe your use harms the service or other users.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above; material changes will be communicated to account holders by email. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
